Spam Form Submission Country IP Filter

Did you know that you can block spam form submission based on the IP location that the spam form submission is sent from? Well, with lead SNAP, you can do just that. Check it out. Just in the last 30 days from the few websites that I have in the system, I’ve blocked 225 spam form submissions. Now you can see right here in the IP location column, this is based on the IP location itself.

I’ve blocked spam form submissions from Russia, Singapore, wherever that is, more from Russia, Singapore, Moscow, all over the place. Right. Vienna, North Holland, all of these places, Berlin, all of these places, Taipei, Taiwan, all of these places have tried to send me spam email and I have not even gotten the message because it’s been blocked by lead snap spam filters. Snap and Lead SNAP has several different aspects of its spam filters that makes it super tight when you put them all together, you can block by several different categories, including phone number, keyword domain, email address and filtering by company, which is what I’m going to cover right now. So if you filter by country IP, you can literally go across the world and filter by IP address from each individual country. You can select by by region or area or by the individual countries themselves.

So in our case, we do business in the United States. So the only country IP addresses that we allow to send us a form submission are from the United States and Canada. The entire rest of the world is blocked. Do you know how much spam that reduces that we have to think about or go over? It’s ridiculous. It reduces so much. It’s crazy because most of the spam, as you can see, is coming from these other countries like Russia and Taiwan, Singapore and places like that. So we automatically filter all of that out. This is very powerful. Now, it’s going to be different if you’re in a different part of the world.

If you’re in Australia, you want to you may want to allow other countries to get through, but in our case, it only makes sense to allow the United States and Canada we block the rest of the world and it almost eliminates spam from getting to our clients and it eliminates the amount of spam that we have to manually review.
